Today we are talking about Funky but above all of "groove" thanks to the Californian band "The Tower of Power" which in my opinion embody these two words in the best possible way.
The term groove means everything and nothing, to the point that if for a musician his existing for the singer is clear there is a difficulty in understanding his involvement within the rhythmic pulsation.
When I listened for the first time the Top , purchased in my favorite shop in Turin Rock & Folk in the now distant 1994, I was shocked by so much energy both instrumental but above all vocal.
In this article I will bring you to discover what I call the "Funk singing event".
In more than fifty years of activity, the band Tower of Power brought to light the best funk singers of all time from the first singer Rufus Miller to Larry Braggs.
I also attach a playlist where you can listen to one by one all the chronological succession of the top leads of the top
Good feast in the name of groove and funk !!!

Good morning Albert,
I read the circleactivities article with extreme interest because in the spring I also started a music therapy in an RSA., With very, very compromised elderly people.
Just in these days I thought about how to resume the thread, since the meetings will resume in 10 days; And I had thought precisely of the nursery rhymes as a useful reference to childhood and therefore to memory, as a verbal and rhythmic stimulus, as a more method about the actual song.
The idea of looking for vintage nursery rhymes is beautiful !!
Thanks Albert of these ideas
