Song, this fantastic world, this tool that has allowed me to discover thanks to its ability and strength, important tools for my personal growth.
In this dialogue between me and the researcher Ivana Cacoli, who I report here with a video report, we have dealt with some reflections extrapolated from his book " Curative singing ".
In these thirty minutes of exchange, I have tasted the beauty of the word sharing.
Sharing, looking for to embrace a knowledge, which in reality proves to be a non -knowing (Socratic method), which proves to be in front of us singers almost always with the word mystery.
From this dialogue I also bring home the desire to amaze myself as a child, in front of a meeting made of words, looks and common life.

Description of the book The "Curative Singing"
Curative singing is a new path in a holistic sense around the voice, its aesthetic, its potential, and its powers. It combines the pleasure and aesthetics of singing the benefit of the sound, in the agreement of all the parties that come into play to resonate the best.
It investigates the physical and articulators of vocal emission, on the mystical-seacty and healing ones, in relation to the type of energies they convey.
They converge here at 360 ° knowledge and experiences around the uses of the voice and its potential, so far not completely known.
The path uses skills and techniques relating to breathing and vocal emission, functional to posture and dissolution of tensions throughout the body, in an integrated vision in which the physical sphere is inextricably linked to the psychic and spiritual one. We vibrate constantly.
When our cells move "in phase, as in a choreography, it is well -being; On the contrary, their disordered and chaotic oscillating, out of tone, translates into malaise, disease.
Ancient peoples recognized the power of the voice, a knowledge that is largely lost. They also believed that precisely in the sound there was the secret of the birth of the universe and of life. Ours is a vibrant body aimed at awakening cosmic energies and resounding with the absolute.
We thank for the sacred formulas, the mantras, the prayers, the sounds-mutters who have arrived handed down to us over the millennia by our predecessors.
We could rightly call them "sound heritage" of humanity.
Taking confidence with the voice will lead us to discover that we have in our hands, indeed, in our ropes, an effective and creative means to get to know us, to become alchemists of ourselves, express who we are; as well as a means always within reach to face physical, emotional, and thus regenerating in general well -being.
The book "Il Curativo" includes a theoretical part and a practice, with exercises and detailed path proposals.

Song does not express only segmental and supersegmental communication aspects, the thing I say and how I say it, but it is the immersion of the body that breathes and exchanges information to itself, space and living reality. (...) The acoustic experience and the aesthetic possibility of singing is therefore much wider than that we have enhanced in the West in the last three centuries.
This unit between mind, body, breath, larynx with the perceived and tangible universe is well highlighted by this research by Ivana on the meanings and the consequent repercussions on the teaching of singing that always remind us that the history of the voice is yes a story of muscles and air, but also of spirit and harmony with the universe
