Stems technology at the service of the study of sound

The study of vocal sound in singing needs to be stimulated on various fronts. Today I would like to take you to the world of Stems technology to improve and deepen your study approach.

In a lesson with a pupil we mainly worked on one of the four photographs of the vocal sound, the duration .

To do all this, I assigned a studio song that could develop this concept:
The Vow by Ole Børud.

This song is characterized by a groove and a wealth of precise singers with a very short duration, with the need to "sit on time" and not to anticipate it.

The first difficulty that the student found in the study of this song was precisely the space -time reference, since in the assigned study, all the choirs were missing (I specially built this difficulty to determine a construction of the more musical and less based on references ), fundamental for the structure of the piece that is made up of many calls and respons and complex choral harmonizations.

What strategy has been used in class?
