I chose an app for you to sing fantastic allies for you.
Hello Siteiners and Welcome back!
This morning, waiting for the first pupil of a new singing day, a little for fun, a little out of curiosity, I tried to insert the word "singing" in the research field of the app store of my iPhone.
As you can imagine, the amount of applications related to our life is almost unlimited.
I decided to experience some for you.
We will see apps to sing from the more didactic and others that will brush a more playful aspect (but isn't the game one of the highest expressions of learning?), The choice in any case was almost random, but I must admit what name And above all the logo had a decisive impact ... you know, the eye also wants its part ...
The first app to sing that I selected is ... the first app that the store offers me.
Ella: Sight Singing & Reading Application that is included in the "Voice Pitch Analyzer & Training"
Before starting the download I quickly scroll evaluation and reviews ... we find 4.5 stars on average on a maximum of 5, based on thirty judgments, which makes us think of a non -high download number. However, the reviews are positive, in principle the app to sing, she is considered useful, simple and intuitive.
A comment that reads "the vowels are much more" is slightly out of tune, but it is precisely the latter that gives me the last push to try. San Tommaso docet.
Fig. 1 to the first opening of the application (which we will now call it ) I am asked to allow access to the same to our microphone, obviously indispensable to pursue our singing goal. I click OK, as shown in the figure [Fig.1] and I proceed.

She welcomes me with a short presentation, which we can prematurely stop with the classic slide of the screen or touching the screen until the end of the aforementioned.
Finally we can start our experience with Ella
I am asked, a mandatory requirement to be able to leave with the exercises, to select the musical reading level, I put myself in the role of a neophyte and I decide to "not be able at all" to read music [fig.2]

I can't wait to start ...
But first a quick look at the settings [Fig.3]

The possibility of saving our progress through the backup of iCloud or hooking the app at the game center so as to challenge relatives and friends!
We have the possibility to change notation, key, or not view the name of the notes, activate a metronome during the exercises (always useful) and to have displayed a "tuner" that can help us in real time to "see" which note we are singing.
Finally, we can change the vocal range of use starting from a mi1 up to a maximum of a mi5. She allows us to configure the range manually or listening to the application ... singing ... and it works.
In short, there seems to be everything necessary to be able to make the most of the application.
Imposed the app, singing a Sol1 (G2) to a La4 (A5) and I proceed.
I am faced with two possible ways of use.
The first called Path and the second collection.
The "Path" mode [Fig.4], very funny,

A real gaming -style path based on 131 levels to be unlocked in sequence.
The evaluation is given on the basis of the percentage of operating operating correctly, a star will be released above 30%, up to a maximum of three stars exceeded 90% successful [Fig.5]

We can also view the precise detail by clicking on the single note [Fig.6]

Each level consists of 5 exercises and to move on to the next level we must reach at least one average star [Fig.7]

Stimulating the "Proficiency penalty", a penalty applied in case of late response, to click on the note (to listen to it before or listen to it again, effectively penalizing our skill to read) or if we were to perform a new attempt ...
Before proceeding with the actual exercise, she allows us to practice with the "Practice" mode, we have a rundown of all the exercises that make up the level, with which to practice ... not bad.
The exercises flow truly fluid, the tunner is very precise and the difficulty increases with the continuation of the route, I would say in a very balanced way ... an app to sing ... one walk at a time!
The "Collection" mode gives us the opportunity to choose the type of exercise (intervals, stairs, trades, etc ...) which will be followed, as for the "path" mode, an evaluation from 1 to 3 star depending on the percentage achieved.
I would define it as the most popular mode for voice training applications. (on the false line of the famous Perfect Ear, for those who knew him)
The waiting time has passed quickly, so I feel like confirming the average content of the reviews ... she is really simple and intuitive ...
I do not indicate the cons or some out of tune note (Ops!). She performs very well what it proposes and her simplicity makes an app to sing without frills and therefore effective.
And it is, remember, completely free!
