Today I would like to bring you to the world of Dhrupad through my meeting with Amelia Cuni
In 2002 I was lucky enough to participate in a singing seminar Dhrupad at the Cini Foundation in Venice, led by the wonderful teacher Amelia Cuni. His presence and song captured me immediately.
Vocal peace, wisdom, discipline and a lot of passion are some of the aspects that immediately struck me.
The two days spent immersed in the passion for this type of singing have been unforgettable and left an indelible imprint on my path as a voice explorer.

Who is Amelia Cuni?
Amelia Cuni is a unique singer at the crossroads between traditional Indian music and contemporary. With years of study in India, he learned Dhrupad singing from some of the most important masters of this style, including R.Fahimuddin Dagar, Bidur Mallik and Dcvedi.
His training also includes Kathak dance and Pakhawaj percussion. After his transfer to Berlin in 1992, Cuni created important experimental projects and performed as a soloist in many international festivals and well -known theaters around the world.
His voice is highly appreciated by both the public and critics, as demonstrated by the numerous international reviews and by the premium residences that he received both in Europe and in Canada and the USA.
Amelia Cuni has collaborated with many artists, from ancient music to contemporary, jazz, ambient without denigrating experimentation.
He has participated in international reviews all over the world and has worked with composers such as the caliber of Terry Riley . Amelia Cuni has numerous productions and record and radio collaborations in her name and composes music on texts in different languages. He created a method of teaching meditative vocality, aimed at the development of awareness in the use of the voice by applying the foundations of the Indian singing Dhrupad. In short, Amelia Cuni's career is a testament of his unique ability to combine musical cultures in a creative and intelligent way.
